About me

I work on complex engineering and data-driven systems where uncertainty, nonlinear behavior, and operational constraints shape outcomes.

My background spans aerospace engineering, fluid dynamics, combustion, and energy systems, combining physics-based modeling, experimental analysis, high-performance computing, and production machine learning across academia and industry. This has shaped how I reason about systems governed by incomplete information, instabilities, and coupled dynamics, and how I stay explicit about what can and cannot be inferred from the available data.

Today, I design models and AI systems that solve real production problems with real data, real constraints, and real consequences. This includes adapting machine learning and deep learning methods to fit specific data characteristics, and building agentic AI workflows for diagnostics, automation, and human-in-the-loop reasoning.

Trained first as a scientist, I view AI as one powerful tool within a broader toolkit that includes mathematical models, numerical simulations, and classical statistical methods. Its generalization ability is ultimately bounded by data quality and domain understanding. I believe effective systems come from choosing the right formulation, not from applying the most fashionable technique, and I gravitate toward problems where that distinction matters.

Beyond Work

Outside of work, I sail. I’ve skippered multi-week passages in the Aegean Sea around Paros and the Cyclades, navigating weather, open water, and inter-island routes.

Having lived, studied, and worked across many countries and regions, I’m drawn to places where landscape, culture, and history intersect. Closer to home, I practice Chinese calligraphy, which I’ve studied since a young age.

Most of my current spare time belongs to my three toddlers. Together with my husband, a French scientist, we live in Sandnes, Norway, surrounded by nature and coastline. Our family roots stretch across Canada, France, and China, and the kids happen to be my best French and Norwegian teachers.
